Mr Tareen is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan, enrolled with the Punjab Bar Council. He went to Sadiq Public School, holds LL.B (Hons.) from University of London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales from Lincoln’s Inn after scoring the grade, “Very Competent”.

Constitutional and tax litigation forms a predominant part of his practice. Mr Tareen regularly appears in banking cases, intellectual property cases, competition cases, drugs regulatory cases, and import policy cases.

He is the author of three books titled:

• Syntax of Sales Tax on Services (Karachi: Pakistan Law House, 2018)
• Banking Law & Jurisprudence (Karachi: Pakistan Law House, 2019)
• Rule of Law (Karachi: Pakistan Law House, 2021)

He has drafted the following laws as part of the UKAID programmes:

• The Khyber Pakhtunkwa Revenue Authority Act, 2022
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sales Tax on Services Act, 2022

Arslan Saleem Chaudhry

Mr Chaudhry is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan, enrolled with the Punjab Bar Council. He graduated from Forman Christian College University with a BS (Hons) Economics degree. Mr Chaudhry studied law at the University of Punjab, Lahore. He holds a Master of Law and Business (MLB) degree jointly offered by Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, Germany and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar, Germany.

Mr Chaudhry looks after the civil and commercial matters. Mr Chaudhry is an experienced lawyer with a demonstrated history of working in the law practice industry. He is skilled in alternative dispute resolution, civil, commercial, construction, constitutional, consumer matters, data privacy and protection, and labour litigations. Mr Chaudhry’s legal expertise further encompasses corporate legal advisory, including drafting and vetting commercial contracts, mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, inbound and outbound investments, real estate transactions, preparing tender documents, advising MNCs on various regulatory regimes including Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Competition Commission of Pakistan, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. Mr Chaudhry also represents clients in land acquisitions, allotment, partition, assessments, property tax, change of land use (i.e., commercial/industy/agriculture), tax, fee and penalities imposed by various local government bodies of Pakistan including Cantonment boards, and related land and revenue related disputes before various competent forums of Pakistan.

Mr Chaudhry is a go-to lawyer for various start-ups in the IT industry and major players in the real estate industry of Pakistan for advising clients on land acquisitions, allotments, allocations, construction and development of real estate and infrastructure projects in the territory of Pakistan.
